FLEXIBLE MOUNTING
By mounting your BAGTAG device on a strap, you can
use one device for multiple bags. It is recommended to
use this method for all soft bags (such as weeend-bags
or duffel bags) and leather bags. When you cannot
find a flat surface, large enough on your bag to
permanently mount your BAGTAG device, it is also
recommended to mount your device on a strap.
Required items:
1 x BAGTAG device
1 x Adapter plate
1 x Baggage strap (not included)
1 x Cleaning wipe / degreaser (not included)
Installation steps:
Clean the side of the adapter plate that contains a gap.
Then, put the adapter plate on a flat surface while making sure the plate’s side with the gap is facing
upward.
2
Align the BAGTAG directly above the installed adapter
plate and press the device firmly onto the plate. Let the
BAGTAG device cure for 24 hours and you are good
to go!
When applying your baggage belt with mounted
BAGTAG device, make sure the device’s screen is
readable and the handle of your bag is still good to use.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
BAGTAG advises to use permanent mounting method 1
whenever possible. Permanent mounting method 2 is
advised only when your suitcase contains a flat surface
large enough to fit the BAGTAG. Please note, that the
adhesive tape on you BAGTAG device is not to be reused.
PERMANENT MOUNTING – METHOD 1
Relevant for soft and hard shell cases. This mounting
method can be used on fabric and hard shell cases that
contain a clear and flat surface at least the size of your
BAGTAG device.
Required items:
1 x BAGTAG device
1 x Adapter plate
4 x Self-tapping screws
4 x Screw nuts
1 x Screwdriver (not included)
1 x Cleaning wipe / degreaser (not included)
Installation steps:
The preferred location to attach the adapter plate is
right next to or close to the handle that is found on the
long side of your suitcase. If there is no room next to
the handle, move the tag along the long side of your
suitcase until you find a clear and flat surface to fit the
adapter plate. Make sure the handle of your suitcase
can still function properly. Note that your adapter plate’s
gap must face downward. Carefully select the desired
location of the adapter plate.
1
Keep it firmly in place while using the self-tapping screws
to fasten it.
Once you have fastened the adapter plate on your bag
using the screws, place the screw nuts on the inside of
your bag over the sharp ends of the screws.
Then clean the upward facing surface of the adapter
plate, preferably using degreaser. After cleaning the
adapter plate, wait until the surface is completely dry.
Then, remove all three segments of the cover paper on
the back-side of your BAGTAG device without touching
the adhesive tape.
4
Align the BAGTAG directly above the installed adapter
plate and press the device firmly onto the plate. Let the
BAGTAG device cure for 24 hours and you are good
to go!
PERMANENT MOUNTING – METHOD 2
Relevant for hard shell cases. This mounting method can
be used on hard shell cases that contain a clear and flat
surface at least the size of your BAGTAG device.
Required items:
1 x BAGTAG device
1 x Cleaning wipe / degreaser (not included)
Installation steps:
The preferred location to attach your BAGTAG device is
right next to or close to the handle that is found on the
long side of your suitcase. If there is no room next to the
handle, move the tag along the long side of your suitcase until you find a clear and flat surface large enough
to fit your BAGTAG device. Make sure the handle of your
suitcase can still function properly.
2
Clean the surface of the desired area for your BAGTAG
device, preferably using degreaser.
Wait until the cleaned surface is completely dry and
remove all three segments of the cover paper on the
back-side of your BAGTAG device without touching
the adhesive tape.
Align the BAGTAG directly above the desired area on
your bag and press the device firmly onto the bag. Let
the BAGTAG device cure for 24 hours.
