Grant CommentsClass II permissive change to approve U-NII Band 3 according to new rules with module installed in previously granted host Panasonic CF-C2. Original Grant Comments on 10/17/2013 were: Maximum output power is reduced when installed in this host. Power Output listed is conducted. Modular Approval. The antenna(s) used for this device must not be co-located with any other transmitters, except in accordance with FCC multi-transmitter product procedures. This module is approved in mobile/portable configurations. Only those antenna(s) tested with the device or similar antenna(s) with equal or lesser gain may be used with this transmitter. Grantee must coordinate with OEM integrators to determine applicable host configurations to ensure RF exposure compliance, including simultaneous transmission SAR requirements according to published KDB 616217 Supplement documentation. When all conditions of this filing cannot be met installation of this device into specific final products may require the submission of a permissive change application, containing appropriate data demonstrating compliance, or a new application. This transmitter is restricted to indoor use only within the 5.15- 5.25GHz and 5470-5725GHz bands. Device is a 2 x 2 MIMO configuration, enabled for either 2.4 or 5 GHz band operations as described in this filing. OEM/Host integrators must be provided with antenna installation instructions and transmitter operating conditions to satisfy RF exposure compliance. OEM/Host integrator is responsible for complying with the instructions and requirements for each transmitter they choose to integrate into a host product. The highest measured body SAR value at 8mm antenna-to-user separation distance in laptop/Notebook/Netbook and Tablet Computer hosts is: 0.76 W/kg. Simultaneous TX: 1.02W/kg at 50mm antenna-to-antenna separation. The highest reported SAR for body and simultaneous transmission exposure conditions across all filings under this FCC ID are 1.26 W/kg and 1.59 W/kg respectively.

Class II permissive change filing adds a new portable host (Panasonic/CF-C2) as documented in this filing. Maximum output power is reduced when installed in this host.

The highest measured body SAR value at 8mm antenna-to-user separation distance in aptop/Notebook/Netbook and Tablet Computer hosts is: 0.55 W/kg. Simultaneous TX: 1.02W/kg at 50mm antenna-to-antenna separation.

The highest reported SAR value for body and simultaneous transmission exposure conditions in this filing are 1.15 W/kg and 0.16 W/Kg respectively. The highest reported SAR value across all filings under this FCC ID is 1.15 W/Kg.

CC: This device is certified pursuant to two different Part 15 rules sections.
MO: This Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) device was evaluated for multiple transmitted signals as indicated in the filing.

38: This device has shown compliance, in all grant-listed U-NII sub-bands, with the new rules for U-NII devices adopted under Docket No. 13-49 and may be marketed, manufactured or imported after the June 1, 2016 transition deadline.
CC: This device is certified pursuant to two different Part 15 rules sections.
MO: This Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) device was evaluated for multiple transmitted signals as indicated in the filing.
ND: This UNII device complies with the Transmit Power Control (TPC) and Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) requirements in Section 15.407(h).
