Grant CommentsClass II Permissive Change. This application was originally granted on 16 August 2001. Reissued by FCC. Power output listed is EIRP. The 4.17 Watt level is for use with DRA/ODU antenna. The 2.06 and 1.82 Watt levels are for use with the Helix antenna. To satisfy MPE requirements, the unit’s antenna should be mounted above the roof line providing a minimum separation distance from all persons of at least 53 cm when the DRA/ODU antenna is employed and 43 cm when the Helix antennas are employed. Installers and end users must be provided with antenna installation instructions and transmitter operating conditions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This is an interim Grant of Certification based on compliance with all relevant portions of Parts 1, 2 and 25 as specified in the NPRM for GEN Docket 98-68 adopted on May 14, 1998. We are granting this interim approval on the basis that final approval must satisfy the requirement and procedures adopted in our future GMPCS-MoU implementation proceeding including the specific spurious and out-of-band emission limits adopted in the proceeding.
