The E5/G5 Smartfind/Smartfind Plus EPIRBs are COPAS-SARSAT Class 2 units available with either a manual bracket (RTCM Category 2) or an automatic float-free bracket (RTCM Category 1). These EPIRBs are also marketed under the trade names SIMRAD EP 50/EG 50 and SAILOR SE 406-II/SGE406-II. The Category 1 units may utilize either McMurdo BreaktHRU or Hammar H2OE hydraulic release units (HRUs).
