Grant CommentsModular Approval Transmitter. Power output is at the antenna terminal of the device. Max EIRP is 0.589W.This is a Class II Permissive Change to establish the most conservative antenna-to-user separation distance of 17mm for Laptop/Notebook/Netbook and Tablet Computers. The antenna(s) used for this device must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 17mm from all persons and must not be co-located with any other transmitters, except in accordance with FCC multi-transmitter product procedures. Grantee must coordinate with OEM integrators to determine applicable host configurations to ensure RF exposure compliance, including simultaneous transmission SAR requirements according to published KDB 616217 Supplement documentation. This module is approved in mobile/portable configurations. Only those antenna(s) tested with the device or similar antenna(s) with equal or lesser gain may be used with this transmitter. When all conditions of this filing cannot be met installation of this device into specific final products may require the submission of a permissive change application, containing appropriate data demonstrating compliance, or a new application. OEM/Host integrators must be provided with antenna installation instructions and transmitter operating conditions to satisfy RF exposure compliance. OEM/Host integrator is responsible for complying with the instructions and requirements for each transmitter they choose to integrate into a host product. The highest measured body SAR value at 17mm antenna-to-user separation distance in Laptop/Notebook/Netbook and Tablet Computer hosts is: 0.39 W/kg.

Power Output listed is conducted. Limited Modular Approval. This is a Class II Permissive Change to establish the most conservative antenna-to-user separation distance of 17mm for Laptop/Notebook/Netbook and Tablet Computers. This transmitter is restricted to indoor use only within the 5.15-5.25GHz and 5470-5725GHz bands. The transmitter is also restricted under the premise that it shall meet all the other requirements specified in Section 15.407 and no configuration controls are provided to change the frequency of operations outside the grant of certification for US operation. When all conditions of this filing cannot be met installation of this device into specific final products may require the submission of a permissive change application, containing appropriate data demonstrating compliance, or a new application. This device must utilize the bios locking features as documented in this filing. Users and installers must be provided with antenna installation instructions and transmitter operating conditions to satisfy RF exposure compliance. OEM/Host integrator is responsible for complying with the instructions and requirements for each transmitter they choose to integrate into a host product. Device is a client only device containing a 2 x 2 MIMO configuration, enabled for either 2.4 or 5 GHz band operations as described in this filing.

The highest measured body SAR value at 17mm antenna-to-user separation distance in Laptop/Notebook/Netbook and Tablet Computer hosts is: 0.39 W/kg.

CC: This device is certified pursuant to two different Part 15 rules sections.
MO: This Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) device was evaluated for multiple transmitted signals as indicated in the filing.
ND: This UNII device complies with the Transmit Power Control (TPC) and Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) requirements in Section 15.407(h).
