Grant CommentsLicensed Modular Transmitter. Output Power listed is conducted. This OEM module is approved for use in products operating as fixed or mobile transmitting device. To satisfy RF exposure, only those antenna(s) tested with the device or similar antenna(s) with equal or lesser gain may be used with this transmitter and must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Grantee shall provide installation and operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure requirements to OEM integrators and installers. This grant is valid only when the device is sold to OEM integrators and the OEM integrators are instructed to ensure that the end user has no manual instructions to remove or install the device. For mobile and fixed operating configurations the antenna gain, including cable loss, must not exceed 3 dBi at 850 MHz and 5 dBi at 1900 MHz as defined in 2.1091 for satisfying RF exposure compliance. Under no conditions may an antenna gain be used that would exceed the ERP and EIRP power limits as specified in Part 22 and 24. The Grantee is responsible for providing the documentation required for modular use; Installation of this device into portable RF Exposure category devices requires the submission of a Class II permissive change application where appropriate containing data demonstrating compliance for SAR, spurious emissions, ERP/EIRP and host/ module authentication, or new application if appropriate.
