Output power is EIRP as tested in specific notebook computer described in this filing. EIRP in specific palmtop computer is 1.0 W. Conducted power is 0.66 mW. SAR compliance has been established in the notebook computer(s) configurations with PCMCIA slot configurations (side near the rear) as tested in this filing, and can be used in notebook computers with substantially similar physical dimensions, construction, and electrical and RF characteristics. Notebook SAR test conditions account for user's lap position, and 2.5 cm spacing from the end of the device for certain user and bystander conditions. SAR compliance was demonstrated in a specific palmtop computer for hand-held and for body-worn use only with belt-clips or accessories that contain no metal and provide spacing of 5 mm or more. SAR compliance has not been shown for use in lap position with palmtop computer, and use in this configuration has not been approved and requires separate RF exposure evaluation. Installation and operating instructions for palmtop computer must restrict use to conditions of no contact with user's lap. Installation of this device into other palmtop computers requires the submission of a Class II permissive change application containing data demonstrating compliance for SAR, spurious emissions, and EIRP, or a new application if appropriate. Compliance of this device in any final host configurations is the responsibility of the Grantee. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter without specific RF exposure evaluation. End-users must be provided with specific information required to satisfy RF exposure compliance for all final host devices. The highest reported SAR values are: notebook computer - lap-held 0.43 W/kg, bystander 0.92 W/kg; specific palmtop computer - body-worn 0.92 W/kg.

This device contains 900 MHz GSM functions that are not operational in U.S. Territories. This filing is only applicable for 1900 MHz PCS operations.
