Limited to purposes associated with law enforcement, firefighting, emergency rescue, scientific research, commercial mining, or construction, per §15.509(b). Parties operating this equipment must be eligible for licensing under provisions of part 90. Requires coordination, as detailed in §15.525.

Device approved under Waiver (DA 23-650), under the following conditions:

1. The GSSI GPR device shall operate with stepped frequency CW modulation in 1-40 megahertz steps between 30-6000 MHz.

2. The GSSI GPR device dwell time on any one frequency shall not exceed 2 microseconds.

3. The dwell time during any step of the GSSI GPR shall not exceed 0.04 percent of the devices minimum scan/cycle rate.

4. Sales of the GSSI GPR device authorized under this waiver are subject to an annual limit of 5,000 devices for each of the first two years and 10,000 devices each year thereafter.
