Emissions Designator 13M5G7D

13M5G7D is an FCC emission designator. It describes an emission with an indicated necessary bandwidth of 13.5 MHz, angle modulation, phase modulation, two or more channels containing quantized or digital information, carrying data transmission, telemetry, or telecommand.

Commonly, this is used for Phase-modulated digital data using two or more digital channels. The exact meaning can still depend on the frequency band, grant conditions, and device operating mode.

Emission designators are used on FCC grants and equipment authorization records to summarize the radio emission being authorized. They help identify how wide the emission is, how the carrier is modulated, whether the signal is analog or digital, and what kind of information is being transmitted.
