This Asus WL700gE / WL-700gE is a “Multifunctional Broadrange Wireless Router” with a 160 or 250 GB hard drive installed. It comes labeled with FCC ID MSQWL700GE, however, no FCC registration exists for the device. MSQ is the proper business grantee registration for Asus, and the latter part of the FCC ID (WL700GE) matches the model of the device. Additionally, there don’t seem to be any FCC registrations by Asus around the time of the router release (February 2006) that could match the device (ruling out a typo in registration).
Although the device has been registered in Korea with the labeled FCC registration number, reasons why the device may be unregistered with the FCC remain unclear. Both Asus and the FCC have been contacted for further information.
